Carriers

How Your Bike Arrives — Packaging

Full-size electric bikes do not ship in a cardboard box. Every bike leaves our Little Rock shop secured inside a wooden crate mounted on a shipping pallet. This is the standard for freight-shipped motorcycles and high-power e-bikes, and it is what allows the bike to survive an LTL freight network without damage.

What that looks like when the truck arrives:

  • The bike is strapped upright inside a wooden frame, bolted to a pallet base
  • Handlebars are turned or lowered and the battery is secured for transit
  • Forks, fenders, and other vulnerable parts are padded and protected
  • The driver moves it off the truck by liftgate or pallet jack and leaves it at your curb or driveway — carriers will not bring it into a garage or up steps
  • A crated bike is heavy and awkward. Plan on two people to move it and uncrate it

Uncrating: you will need a cordless drill or screwdriver and a utility knife to remove the crate panels and cut the transit straps. Once the bike is out, setup is minor — see assembly details below.

Accessories, parts, and batteries ship separately in standard cardboard boxes via UPS or FedEx Ground — no crate, no freight appointment.

Assembly After Delivery

Bikes arrive partially assembled. Typical setup is straightening and tightening the handlebars, fitting mirrors, and charging the battery before the first ride. Instructions are included in the crate. Local customers can choose free pickup fully assembled from our Little Rock showroom instead of freight.

Curbside Freight Delivery

Full-size bikes are delivered by freight carrier to the curb outside your address. The carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery window. Someone must be present to accept and inspect the delivery. We are not responsible for packages left unattended after delivery confirmation.

Shipping Restrictions

  • We ship to all 48 contiguous U.S. states
  • We do not currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or internationally
  • We do not ship to P.O. Boxes for large items

Damaged Shipments

Inspect all packages at delivery. If damage is visible, note it on the carrier’s delivery receipt before signing and contact us within 48 hours at info@surronvault.com with photos. We will file a freight claim and arrange resolution.
